For Hire The Spitfire Spares Mk IX Spitfire
Our unique Mk IX Spitfire, the only full scale
static Spitfire replica in the world with a Running Merlin engine and complete
original cockpit. This aircraft is unique in the fact it has a running engine
but can also be transported to your event or living history show. In addition we give your
visitors the chance to sit in and start the Spitfire engine with a small charge
to cover fuel which she burns at a rate of 1 to 1 1/2 gallons a minute.
For 2014 the Spitfire is
undergoing a major re fit including a new prop and wings.

Early booking for 2014 is essential as our
available dates are limited. Charges £500 per day plus £1.50 a miles to and from
TA26SE we arrive the day before your event so you get full days hire. A small
addition charge will be applicable for the groups travel expenses this will
depend on the location of the event. We only accept two day or longer events.
The display requires an area no smaller than 50ft by 50ft. The support
vehicles will also require secure parking.
